LKC Co., Ltd. ("the Company") establishes the following Privacy Policy ("Policy") regarding the handling of personal information of users in connection with the services provided on this website ("Services").

For the purposes of this Policy, "Personal Information" shall mean "personal information" as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan. Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)
The Company may change the purposes for which personal information is used only when such changes are reasonably deemed to be related to the original purposes of use.
In the event that the purposes of use are changed, the Company shall notify users of the revised purposes or publish them on this website using a method prescribed by the Company. -
Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company will not provide personal information to any third party without prior consent from the user, except in cases permitted under the Personal Information Protection Act or other applicable laws and regulations.
However, this does not apply in the following cases:
When it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
When it is particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent
When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government authority, or a party entrusted by them, in carrying out legally mandated duties, and obtaining the individual’s consent may interfere with the execution of such duties
When the following matters have been announced or publicly disclosed in advance and the Company has notified the Personal Information Protection Commission:
That the purpose of use includes provision to third parties
The items of personal data to be provided to third parties
The means or method of providing such data
That the provision of personal information to third parties will be stopped upon request from the individual
The method for receiving such requests from individuals
Notwithstanding the above, in the following cases, the recipient of the information shall not be considered a third party:
When the handling of personal information is outsourced, in whole or in part, within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
When personal information is provided in connection with business succession due to merger or other reasons
When personal information is jointly used with a specific party, and the individual has been notified in advance or can easily access information regarding the items of personal data used jointly, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use, and the name or designation of the party responsible for managing the personal information -
Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When a request is made by the individual to disclose their personal information, the Company shall disclose such information to the individual without delay. However, the Company may choose not to disclose all or part of the information if disclosure falls under any of the following circumstances. In such cases, the Company shall notify the individual of its decision without delay.
A handling fee of JPY 1,000 per request will be charged for disclosure of personal information.
Where there is a risk of harming the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
Where there is a risk of causing significant disruption to the proper execution of the Company’s business operations
Where disclosure would otherwise violate applicable laws or regulations
Notwithstanding the above, in principle, the Company shall not disclose information other than personal information, such as usage history and characteristic information. -
Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If a user’s personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the user may request the Company to correct, add to, or delete such personal information (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Corrections, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Company.
When the Company receives such a request and determines that it is necessary to respond to it, the Company shall promptly make the relevant Corrections, etc.
The Company shall notify the user without delay when it has made such Corrections, etc., or when it has decided not to make any Corrections, etc. under the preceding paragraph. -
Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
When a user requests the suspension of use or deletion of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as “Suspension of Use, etc.”) on the grounds that the information is being handled beyond the scope of the stated purpose of use or that it has been obtained through improper means, the Company shall promptly conduct the necessary investigation.
Based on the results of such investigation, if the Company determines that it is necessary to respond to the request, it shall promptly carry out the Suspension of Use, etc. of the relevant personal information.
The Company shall notify the user without delay when it has carried out Suspension of Use, etc. in accordance with the preceding paragraph, or when it has decided not to take such measures.
Notwithstanding the preceding two paragraphs, if Suspension of Use, etc. would require substantial cost or is otherwise difficult to implement, and if alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the user can be taken, the Company shall implement such alternative measures. -
Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The contents of this Policy may be changed without prior notice to users, except as otherwise provided by applicable laws and regulations or in this Policy.
Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall take effect from the time it is posted on this website. -
